Job title: Manager, ServiceNow Development
Role Summary: Lead and mentor a ServiceNow development team, overseeing end‑to‑end platform development, governance, and continuous improvement. Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into high‑quality, scalable solutions while maintaining platform health and aligning with industry best practices.
Expectations:
- 1+ year of people management experience.
- ≥7 years of ServiceNow development, administration, and architecture with 5+ years leading technical teams.
- Proven track record delivering end‑to‑end ServiceNow projects on schedule and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coach a team of developers and administrators, including performance reviews and workload prioritization.
- Own the full ServiceNow development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post‑deployment support.
- Ensure platform governance, architecture, and coding standards; maintain scalability, performance, and security.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging ServiceNow features and industry trends to drive platform innovation.
- Collaborate with business units, IT leaders, and process owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain the ServiceNow roadmap and coordinate upgrades, integrations, and vendor support.
- Monitor team metrics, project milestones, and platform health; report progress to stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow product suite (ITSM, ITAM, Security Operations, HR Service Delivery, Sourcing & Procurement, AppEngine).
- Advanced scripting (JavaScript, REST APIs) and ability to integrate ServiceNow with broader technology landscape.
- Strong architecture, configuration, and deployment expertise.
- Excellent organizational, presentation, conflict resolution, and business‑oriented communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage cross‑functional teams.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related IT field (or equivalent experience).
- ITIL Foundation and preferred ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS, CMA, CTA).
