Job Description
**Job title** Intern – Omni‑Channel Sales Associate (Sports Retail) **Role Summary** Assist in providing an exceptional in‑store and online customer experience in a sports retail environment, focusing on product knowledge, merchandising, and sales performance while supporting sustainability and inclusion initiatives. **Expectations** - Thrive in a fast‑moving, customer‑centric setting - Meet or exceed individual sales targets and store performance metrics - Follow structured training modules and apply learned skills immediately - Demonstrate a strong passion for sports and a desire to promote accessibility **Key Responsibilities** - Greet customers, provide product and service information, and guide them to solutions that match their sport level and needs - Ensure product availability, accurate shelf placement, and up‑to‑date displays across all sales channels - Manage stock levels, reorganise product layout, and identify opportunities for visual merchandising improvements - Drive sales by applying persuasive techniques, upselling, and cross‑selling while maintaining a customer‑first attitude - Collaborate closely with the Store Manager and department head to align on store objectives and operational plans - Participate in ongoing training sessions and performance reviews to refine sales and product knowledge **Required Skills** - Passion for sports and a genuine interest in promoting active lifestyles - Basic retail sales experience or strong customer‑service orientation - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at building rapport with diverse customers - Initiative, drive, and a self‑motivated attitude toward meeting sales goals - Ability to work collaboratively in a team while also managing individual responsibilities - Basic proficiency in point‑of‑sale systems and digital tools used for inventory and sales tracking **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum of a secondary education diploma or equivalent - No formal certification required; commercial sales or retail experience is highly valued - Willingness to complete company‑provided training and onboarding programs.
