Job Description

**Job Title:** Principal Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead end‑to‑end development of embedded and application software for high‑performance defense and intelligence systems. Provide architectural ownership, enforce quality and security, and mentor development teams. **Expectations:** - Deliver software that meets stringent performance, reliability, and security requirements. - Maintain clear, measurable goals across requirements, design, implementation, testing, and delivery. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and verify embedded and application software. - Define system architectures, review code, and ensure quality, cost, and schedule compliance. - Implement modern engineering practices (CI/CD, DevSecOps, TDD/BDD). - Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices. - Contribute to bids, proposals, and technical reviews. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in C/C++ with extensive embedded/Linux development experience. - Strong object‑oriented design and full software lifecycle management. - Knowledge of real‑time systems, testing frameworks, and modern development tools. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, TDD, and BDD. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - Eligible to obtain and hold SC clearance; ultimately able to obtain DV clearance.
