**Job Title:** Lead Data Scientist (Product & Experimentation)
**Role Summary:** Lead the design, evolution, and execution of a world‑class experimentation platform to drive data‑driven product decisions. Oversee advanced analytics on product usage, mentor a team of data scientists, and partner with product, engineering, and leadership to translate experimentation outcomes into actionable product and engagement improvements.
**Expectations:** • 10+ years of data science or analytics experience, with proven expertise in Python, SQL, and statistical modeling.
• 3+ years managing experimentation or product analytics teams and leading experiment programs.
• Deep knowledge of experimental design, A/B testing, power analysis, sequential testing, and causal inference.
• Demonstrated success building and scaling experimentation frameworks that influence product strategy.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex analytics to cross‑functional stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Experience mentoring data scientists and establishing rigorous methodological standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Evolve the experimentation platform and establish gold‑standard practices for design, analysis, and interpretation.
2. Partner with product leadership to prioritize high‑impact experiments and align them with the product roadmap.
3. Build and maintain frameworks for measuring feature impact, user engagement, and behavior analytics (funnel, cohort, engagement metrics).
4. Coach and mentor the data science team on advanced experimentation techniques, statistical rigor, and product‑centric analytics.
5. Collaborate with engineering to ensure robust data instrumentation, tracking, and self‑service analytics tools.
6. Lead complex analytical projects (content discovery, platform engagement, UXR optimizations) that drive user satisfaction and retention.
7. Represent data science in product strategy sessions, roadmap planning, and cross‑functional decision making.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, statsmodels, scikit‑learn, etc.) and SQL.
- Expertise in experimental design, A/B testing, multi‑armed bandits, Bayesian methods, sequential testing, and power analysis.
- Advanced causal inference techniques and user behavior modeling.
- Experience with funnel, cohort, and engagement analytics.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
- Proven mentoring and team leadership abilities.
- Familiarity with self‑service analytics platforms, feature flagging systems, and data instrumentation best practices (optional but advantageous).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Google Data Analytics, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, or similar) are a plus but not mandatory.
