**Job Title:** Senior Legal Counsel **Role Summary:** Provide legal and commercial expertise for a fast‑growing SaaS company, leading high‑value vendor and customer negotiations, optimizing contract and procurement workflows, and supporting enterprise sales operations. Acts as a cross‑functional business partner to Legal, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Product, driving governance, compliance, and process‑efficiency initiatives. **Expectations:** - Deliver pragmatic legal advice that balances risk with business outcomes. - Reduce contract cycle times and improve governance without hindering operational speed. - Enable scalable up‑market sales through Deal Desk creation and support. - Lead cross‑functional projects from concept through implementation. - Elevate commercial and legal literacy across the organization through training. **Key Responsibilities:** - Negotiate and advise on complex, high‑value vendor and customer agreements. - Own and refine procurement and contract management workflows (e.g., Omnea). - Build and maintain governance processes for agreement tracking, renewals, and obligations. - Design and support Deal Desk operations, defining deal structures and guardrails. - Partner with Head of Legal to implement legal strategy and ensure privacy, risk, and compliance adherence. - Drive cross‑functional initiatives and manage project timelines. - Conduct trainings and awareness programs on legal and commercial topics. - Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, anticipating challenges and proposing solutions. **Required Skills:** - Strong negotiation skills with experience in enterprise SaaS deals. - Process‑oriented mindset; proven ability to streamline workflows and governance. - Commercial acumen and ability to translate legal risk into business impact. - Excellent project‑management capabilities across multi‑disciplinary teams. - Influential communication; comfortable advising senior executives. - Tech‑savvy, detail‑oriented, adaptable, and curious. - Familiarity with privacy, compliance, and risk frameworks. - Experience establishing or supporting a Deal Desk. - International exposure to US and EU markets. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Qualified lawyer (admitted to practice in the US or EU). - 4–6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in SaaS/technology environments. - No additional certifications required, though certifications in privacy, compliance, or project management are a plus.
