**Job Title**
Data Integration Section Lead Engineer (M/F)
**Role Summary**
Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Data Integration section, managing a multidisciplinary team, steering technical projects, and ensuring adherence to national security standards. The role demands strong engineering expertise, project management, and a proactive approach to evolving data technologies.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality, secure data integration solutions within established timelines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Internal Security standards, confidentiality protocols, and public‑sector best practices.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and career development for the data integration team.
- Lead end‑to‑end project lifecycle: requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and operation (MCO).
- Evaluate and recommend technical architecture choices for applications.
- Estimate timelines, allocate resources, and monitor project progress using agile/scrum or waterfall methodologies.
- Participate in coding, debugging, and quality assurance of mission‑critical data solutions when required.
- Enforce coding standards, version control, documentation, and testing best practices.
- Identify and implement technological upgrades and process improvements.
- Conduct regular stakeholder briefings and report on project status, risks, and deliverables.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge base of emerging data technologies and compliance requirements.
**Required Skills**
- **Engineering & Technical**: Java, Python, Git, Symfony framework, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Oracle SQL.
- **Project Management**: Proven experience managing IT projects, with strong planning, risk management, and delivery focus.
- **Leadership**: Team management, mentoring, conflict resolution, and effective communication across technical and non‑technical audiences.
- **Security Awareness**: Understanding of confidentiality classifications, data protection regulations, and secure software development lifecycle.
- **Analytical**: Ability to translate business needs into optimal technical solutions and realistic development estimates.
- **Continuous Learning**: Proactive engagement with new data tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent.
- Prior experience in data integration/engineering for public safety or intelligence environments is preferred.
- Must possess a French “Très Secret” clearance (or be eligible for it).
- French nationality required.
