**Job Title:** Windows Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Deliver expert support and advanced management for Windows endpoint devices in a large, geographically distributed retail environment. Lead device lifecycle processes, provide level‑3 escalation resolution, automate standard operations, and collaborate cross‑functionally to enhance end‑user and business experience.
**Expectations:**
- Functional SME on Windows endpoint management (SCCM, Intune).
- Serve as primary escalation point for device‑lifecycle incidents.
- Maintain, automate, and document procedures.
- Deliver timely updates to product and project teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adopt industry best practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Manage and troubleshoot device lifecycle: enrollment, configuration, protection, upgrading, application packaging, and retirement in SCCM/Intune.
2. Act as level‑3 support for all endpoint‑lifecycle tickets.
3. Create, maintain, and refine security & configuration policies; develop task sequences and configuration profiles.
4. Automate standard operating procedures and document procedures in Confluence/Jira.
5. Analyze operational trends, recommend process improvements, and drive standardization.
6. Collaborate with operational, support, intermediate, and senior engineers on projects.
7. Communicate incident status, change impacts, and project priorities to stakeholders.
8. Participate in community of practice and project meetings.
**Required Skills:**
- ≥3 years of Enterprise Mobility Management (Windows) experience.
- Deep knowledge of SCCM, Intune, Entra ID, Office 365, Defender for Endpoint.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
