**Job Title**: Transition Director
**Role Summary**
Lead end‑to‑end transitions of IT services across multiple incumbent vendors, driving comprehensive planning, governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure seamless operational handover and continuous delivery, especially within telecom managed‑services environments.
**Expectations**
- Deliver large‑scale transition programs (800+ FTE, multi‑vendor, multi‑workstream).
- Achieve compliance with contractual SLAs, regulatory mandates, and governance frameworks.
- Maintain clear, measurable progress reporting and cost control throughout the transition lifecycle.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, document, and execute detailed transition plans, timelines, and risk registers.
- Establish governance structures: steering committees, reporting cadences, escalation protocols.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams (service delivery, HR, legal, finance, IT operations).
- Monitor progress, identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and report status to senior leadership.
- Ensure comprehensive knowledge transfer, documentation, and operational readiness for steady‑state delivery.
- Develop and execute change management and communication plans for impacted teams and stakeholders.
- Negotiate and manage vendor agreements, SLAs, and contractual obligations.
- Oversee budgeting, financial tracking, and cost‑optimization initiatives.
**Required Skills**
- 15+ years in IT services, 5–7+ years in transition leadership.
- Proven track record leading large‑scale, multi‑vendor transitions (≥800 FTE).
- Deep knowledge of ITIL, service management, outsourcing models, and vendor governance.
- Advanced program management expertise (MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent).
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication (CXO level).
- Expertise in risk management, issue resolution, and escalation handling.
- Ability to operate effectively under fast‑paced, high‑pressure conditions.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen for budget and cost control.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- PMP, Prince2, and ITIL Expert certifications (or equivalent) required.
