**Job Title:** Data Architect
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement and govern enterprise data architecture, creating scalable logical and physical models across relational and NoSQL platforms. Lead data integration, lineage, quality, and governance activities to ensure secure, compliant, and high‑value data assets for business and technical stakeholders.
**Expactations:**
- Own end‑to‑end data architecture strategy aligned with business objectives and technical standards.
- Deliver comprehensive documentation of models, flows, integration specifications, and governance rules.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, architects, and governance bodies to secure approvals and maintain alignment.
- Guide and mentor data analysts, support testing teams, and drive continuous improvement of data assets.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define logical and physical data models, including NoSQL structures (e.g., DynamoDB).
- Establish and maintain data structures, flows, and documentation across all systems.
- Document data requirements, lineage, and traceability with approved tools (e.g., Solidatus).
- Lead creation and upkeep of API documentation and integration specifications.
- Ensure data consistency, integrity, and quality per governance frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Implement data governance processes and collaborate with central architecture teams.
- Contribute to broader architecture decisions, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and strategy.
- Support data‑related testing by clarifying models, flows, and requirements.
- Conduct impact analysis and lifecycle management of data assets, identifying reuse opportunities.
- Engage cross‑functional stakeholders to communicate design decisions and obtain approvals.
- Provide guidance to data analysts and support other architects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including clearance where applicable.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience in data architecture and modeling for relational and NoSQL databases.
- Hands‑on expertise with AWS cloud services and NoSQL technologies such as DynamoDB.
- Strong knowledge of system integrations, API workflows, and integration specification documentation.
- Proficiency in designing and managing data integration workflows across diverse platforms.
- Experience with data lineage, metadata, and traceability tools (e.g., Solidatus).
- Deep understanding of data governance principles, data quality, lifecycle management, and privacy/regulatory compliance.
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and engagement skills.
- Experience supporting data‑focused testing and clarification of data models for test teams.
- Ability to work across multiple delivery teams in Agile environments and adapt to evolving project needs.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty, or equivalent data‑architecture credentials.
