**Job Title:** Mechanical Technician – Customer Support **Role Summary:** Provide first‑line technical and customer support for scientific instrumentation, accessories, and associated software. Manage post‑sales support activities, maintain SOPs, develop training, coordinate spare parts logistics, and liaise with R&D and Quality teams to resolve product performance issues. **Expectations:** - Deliver prompt, accurate support within defined SLAs. - Maintain clear, up‑to‑date documentation in the CRM. - Proactively identify and address recurring technical issues. - Foster strong communication with customers and internal stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Provide remote/virtual troubleshooting for all company instruments, accessories, and software. 2. Create, track, and close support cases, work orders, service and parts quotes. 3. Maintain and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 4. Design and deliver training materials for field service staff (virtual and in‑person). 5. Coordinate spare parts logistics to support efficient field service operations. 6. Liaise with R&D and Quality teams to report, document, and follow up on quality or product performance issues. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 12 months mechanical engineering experience in industry. - Strong customer‑service mindset and excellent verbal & written communication. - Strong organisational and prioritisation skills. - Calm, proactive, and adaptable in a fast‑paced technical environment. - Ability to lift up to 25 kg and possess a valid driver’s licence. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. - Equivalent industry experience and mechanical proficiency may also be accepted.
