Job Description

**Job Title** ESG Data Scientist **Role Summary** Develop and deploy data analytics, machine‑learning models, and infrastructure to evaluate and enhance ESG and sustainability metrics for investment teams, ensuring high‑quality, integrated data environments and actionable insights. **Expectations** - Deliver end‑to‑end data science solutions, from problem definition to model deployment. - Translate business requirements into scalable technical systems that meet ESG data governance standards. - Maintain transparent, reproducible processes for data quality, model performance, and stakeholder communication. **Key Responsibilities** - Build analytics tools and ML models assessing ESG characteristics of companies. - Design, implement, and maintain scalable sustainability data systems and pipelines. - Create and enhance dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). - Integrate multiple ESG data sources into a unified, trusted environment. - Collaborate with investment and technology teams to prototype and deploy AI‑driven ESG metrics. - Monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve data pipelines. - Liaise with internal stakeholders to capture business needs and translate them into technical solutions. - Evaluate vendors and contribute to data governance standards. **Required Skills** - 4+ years in Data Science, Quantitative Analysis, or Development within asset management or sustainability analytics. - Strong Python expertise (pandas, scikit‑learn, etc.) and SQL proficiency. - Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). - Proven track record managing end‑to‑end development projects and deploying models into production. - Familiarity with scalable data infrastructures and cloud services. - Analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving skills. - Effective communication and stakeholder‑management abilities. - Passion for sustainability and ESG. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Environmental Science, or related discipline. - Additional certifications in data science, machine learning, or ESG analytics (e.g., SAS, Tableau, or ESG credential) are preferred.
