Job Description
Job title: Travel Director – Homeworking & Partner Network Role Summary: Lead the retail homeworking and partner network division for a leading travel group, driving revenue, profitability, brand positioning, and partner expansion while overseeing P&L, budgets, compliance, and supplier negotiations. Expectations: - Deliver sustainable revenue and margin growth. - Expand and strengthen the homeworking and partner network portfolio. - Influence commercial strategy at board level and shape strategic direction. - Build and inspire a high‑performing, collaborative team. Key Responsibilities: - Own end‑to‑end sales growth and profitability for the homeworking and partner network business. - Develop and execute commercial strategy, pricing, and partnership models. - Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost optimisation. - Prepare and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and KPI reporting. - Evaluate and expand channel partner relationships; onboard new partners. - Ensure compliance with regulatory, health & safety, and internal policy standards. - Represent the division at board meetings and senior‑level stakeholder engagements. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations, marketing, and customer experience. - Attend UK and occasional overseas travel as required by the role. Required Skills: - Proven executive leadership in travel or related retail sector, with experience managing homeworking or franchise models. - Strong commercial and financial acumen; demonstrated P&L ownership and profitable growth track record. - Strategic thinking and board‑level influence with credible communication and negotiation capability. - Ability to build, develop, and lead high‑performing teams in a remote and hybrid environment. - Exceptional stakeholder management, partnership cultivation, and supplier negotiation. - Analytical mindset for KPI-driven decision making and results reporting. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or equivalent. - Advanced instruction or certification in travel management, franchise operations, or commercial strategy preferred (e.g., Certified Travel Industry Professional, Certified Franchise Executive).
