Job Title: Business Intelligence Intern
Role Summary: Intern to support the Order Management and Logistics team by designing dashboards, extracting and transforming data, automating reporting, and identifying operational improvement opportunities.
Expectations: Deliver actionable visual insights, automate manual processes, collaborate across functions, and communicate findings to stakeholders; work independently while meeting project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop dynamic dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel to track KPIs such as order cycle time, backlog health, delivery adherence, and team workload.
- Extract, clean, and transform data from Databricks, SQL databases, and SAP for use in dashboards and reports.
- Automate and transition manual trackers to digital tools, improving data accuracy and accessibility.
- Analyze process data to detect bottlenecks, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities in the order‑to‑delivery lifecycle.
- Participate in operational excellence projects involving standardization, root‑cause analysis, and performance tracking.
- Document processes, KPIs, and improvement initiatives in clear, structured formats.
- Present insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders to support data‑driven decisions.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in building dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel (pivot tables, slicers, lookups).
- Ability to write SQL queries and work with Databricks or similar data lake environments.
- Understanding of data structures, KPIs, and operational metrics.
- Analytical mindset with problem‑solving orientation.
- Independent work ethic combined with cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including documentation of processes and findings.
- Experience in business consulting projects, case competitions, or operational improvement initiatives is a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Current student (or recent graduate) pursuing a post‑secondary degree in Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- No mandatory certifications required.
