Microsoft Security Sales Specialist
**Role Summary**
Act as a technical sales specialist and trusted advisor focused on Microsoft’s security portfolio (Defender XDR, Sentinel, Entra, Purview, Defender for Cloud, and Managed Security Services). Partner with account executives and solution architects to position, demo, and close security opportunities, drive pipeline growth, and expand the organization’s managed security services footprint.
**Expectations**
* Deliver measurable pipeline growth, increased deal velocity, and expansion of managed security services.
* Position Microsoft security solutions as differentiated, value‑driven options for customers.
* Serve as a subject‑matter expert for sales and internal stakeholders on Microsoft security capabilities and licensing.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Sales Enablement & Pre‑Sales** – Collaborate with account and solution teams to craft compelling presentations, demos, and proposals for Microsoft security products.
2. **Customer Engagement & Solution Design** – Conduct security assessments, workshops, and architecture design sessions, translating customer requirements into tailored Microsoft‑based solutions.
3. **Product Evangelism** – Maintain deep expertise in Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Purview, and related services; keep abreast of roadmap changes and licensing updates.
4. **Managed Security Services Support** – Champion the Managed Service offering, coordinate transitions from pre‑sales to implementation, and contribute to service design improvements.
5. **Training & Knowledge Sharing** – Enable internal sales teams through enablement sessions, playbooks, and reference architectures; share customer insights to refine strategies.
6. **Cross‑Team Collaboration** – Work closely with Microsoft account managers, partner teams, compliance, identity, and infrastructure groups to deliver integrated security solutions and support marketing/events initiatives.
**Required Skills**
* Strong technical sales experience with Microsoft security products.
* Ability to translate complex security requirements into practical architecture and ROI arguments.
* Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
* Familiarity with managed security services and SOC operations.
* Collaborative mindset for working across sales, technical, and service teams.
* Proactive learning orientation to stay current on product updates, roadmap, and licensing.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Minimum A‑Level level education or equivalent.
* Microsoft Security Compliance & Identity Fundamentals (SC‑900) – Essential.
* Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS‑900) – Desirable.
* Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900) – Desirable.
* Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect (SC‑100) – Desirable.
**Experience**
* Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft security or related technical sales roles.
