**Job title**
Savory & Snack Creator – Magwa
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and evaluate savory and snack flavour formulations for the Maghreb & West Africa region. Work closely with customers, sales, and technical teams to deliver innovative, compliant, and performance‑driven flavour solutions within the Givaudan Taste & Wellbeing Creation and Application (TWC&A) framework.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality savoury and snack flavours that meet project goals, regulatory standards, and customer specifications.
- Communicate proactively with Key Account Managers and customers, providing technical expertise and supporting commercial initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating accountability, ownership, and effective project‑management practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the flavour creation toolbox and the introduction of new ingredients.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead flavour creation projects for savory and snack categories, from concept to final formulation.
- Apply and test flavours in snack applications; organize sensory and side‑stream evaluation sessions.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers through visits, presentations, and technical advisory.
- Collaborate with regional TWC&A teams and cross‑functional partners (marketing, R&D, quality) to align on project objectives.
- Incorporate Givaudan’s Taste & Wellbeing solutions and innovation platforms into product development.
- Ensure flavour formulations comply with Givaudan standards, customer factory requirements, and relevant legislation.
- Identify formulation gaps, recommend new ingredients, and propose ingredient addition initiatives.
- Document processes, results, and learnings in line with corporate SOPs.
**Required Skills**
- Strong knowledge of savory and snack flavour chemistry, ingredient profiles, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in modern analytical techniques (e.g., GC, HPLC, sensory analysis) and data interpretation.
- Sensory evaluation skills and ability to conduct structured sensory panels.
- Project‑management skills: planning, tracking, and delivering on schedule.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English, French, and Arabic; additional languages are a plus.
- Team‑oriented mindset, collaborative, and client‑focused.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in flavour or ingredient development within savory and/or snack categories.
- Knowledge of organic chemistry and modern analytical methods.
- Professional certifications in flavour chemistry or related fields are an advantage (e.g., IFP, NFtM).
