Job Description: Job Title: RPG IBMi Developer Role Summary: Develop, optimize, and maintain SAP IBM i (AS400) applications primarily in RPG IV and Free. Design solutions based on business requirements, conduct rigorous testing, document technical specifications, and manage small project initiatives. Collaborate directly with the project manager within a supportive, small development team. Expectations: * At least 3 years of professional experience in RPG IV/AS400 development. * Independent, self‑directed technical capability. * Willingness to support migration to a new ERP system. * Optional but advantageous familiarity with PHP and JavaScript for cross‑technology projects. Key Responsibilities: * Analyse user needs and translate them into technical specifications. * Design, code, test, and deploy RPG IV and Free programs. * Optimize existing programs for performance and maintainability. * Execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing. * Maintain and update technical documentation. * Participate in small project leadership and provide status reporting. * Collaborate with the project manager and cross‑functional stakeholders. Required Skills: * Proficient in RPG IV and Free language. * Strong knowledge of DB2, SQL, CLP, and AS400 operating environment. * Experience with version control and build automation tools. * Analytical mindset and problem‑solving abilities. * Excellent written and verbal communication in French (English a plus). * Familiarity with PHP and JavaScript is a plus but not mandatory. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. * Professional certifications in IBM i development (e.g., IBM Certified Developer – IBM i) preferred. ---
