Job Title: Head of Ecommerce
Role Summary:
Lead the growth and strategy of a direct‑to‑consumer eCommerce website and additional brand sites. Define and deliver the eCommerce roadmap, oversee platform integrations (Magento → Shopify), and drive performance across D2C, trade, and B2B channels.
Expections:
• Deliver measurable ROI and revenue growth.
• Own the end‑to‑end eCommerce experience: strategy, execution, and optimisation.
• Manage two direct reports and coordinate with internal creative functions.
• Provide strategic input on targets, investment and future direction to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute the eCommerce strategy aligned with business goals.
2. Lead the replatforming project from Magento to Shopify, ensuring seamless migration and minimal disruption.
3. Manage cross‑functional teams (Ecommerce Manager, Executive, photography, IT) to enhance onsite storytelling and customer journey.
4. Own SEO, PPC, paid social, email/CRM, and other paid acquisition campaigns; optimise spend and conversion.
5. Analyse performance metrics, provide weekly/monthly reporting, and recommend data‑driven improvements.
6. Oversee site technical health, integrations, and third‑party vendor relationships.
7. Define and manage the eCommerce budget, forecast growth, and justify investment decisions.
Required Skills:
• Strong eCommerce strategy and execution experience (5+ years).
• Proven project management ability, especially platform migration.
• In‑depth knowledge of SEO, paid media (PPC, paid social), and CRM systems.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in Google Analytics, Data Studio, Excel, or comparable tools.
• Leadership and people management skills – coaching, performance feedback.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder management.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Certifications: Google Data Studio/Analytics, Google Ads, Shopify Partner or equivalent, SEO (e.g., HubSpot, Moz).
• Demonstrated success in owning and growing a large D2C eCommerce operation.
