Job Description
**Job Title** Functional Trading Support Specialist **Role Summary** Provide day‑to‑day functional support for electronic trading platforms (Forex, Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives). Act as the bridge between front‑office traders and back‑office/IT teams, managing change requests, coordinating releases, and ensuring compliance with regulatory (MiFID II, EMIR) and technical standards. **Expectations** - 5+ years of functional trading support or related role on multi‑asset platforms. - Strong command of French and professional English. - Demonstrated ability to manage high‑pressure incidents, prioritize tasks, and communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. - Proven experience in coordinating cross‑functional projects and production releases. **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Change & Release Management** - Subscriber to market‑access feeds, evaluate functional & technical impact of upgrades or migrations. - Capture, prioritize, and document business requirements; specify solutions to development teams. - Coordinate implementation with network, infrastructure, and development units. - Conduct functional tests, validate compliance, and oversee go‑live activities. 2. **Operational Support** - Daily monitoring and support of production environments, handling order rejections and incident diagnosis. - Manage incidents, troubleshoot and coordinate resolution with IT and trading teams. - Maintain and update support procedures and knowledge base. 3. **Continuous Improvement** - Track application versioning, identify bugs, and liaise on improvements with developers and infrastructure. - Measure and report on development/test/deployment quality metrics. - Deploy and refine monitoring tools to enhance system performance. **Required Skills** - Deep knowledge of electronic trading environments: multi‑asset platforms, FIX, SWIFT, exchange connectors, Smart Order Routers, trading algorithms, nxFeed/Enyx solutions. - Strong handling of market data feeds, real‑time optimization, and execution analysis. - Proficiency in monitoring & troubleshooting tools; incident management following ITIL practices. - Scripting: Python, Perl, PowerShell; basic development understanding (Java/JEE, C++). - SQL, advanced Excel (VBA/macros), PowerPoint, Access, BI reporting tools. - Familiarity with MiFID II, EMIR, and European electronic market regulations. - Experience with Windows/Linux environments, application supervision, ticketing (ServiceNow, Jira). - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; ability to explain technical issues simply. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline. - Certifications in ITIL, trading platforms, or related fields are desirable.
