Job Description
**Job Title:** Development Chemist **Role Summary:** Provide scientific and technical expertise in R&D to develop innovative render and coating products, enhance existing solutions, and support product optimization, ensuring alignment with R&D roadmaps and commercial objectives. **Expectations:** Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D teams, business development, and commercial departments to deliver market-leading innovations. Drive new product development from lab to production, maintain technical documentation, and represent the company at industry events. **Key Responsibilities:** - Plan, execute, and document new product development and optimization projects in line with R&D strategies. - Scale lab processes to pilot and full production, including site trials and customer feedback assessment. - Author technical reports, safety data sheets, and H&S documentation. - Provide technical support to sales teams and customers. - Manage product approvals (e.g., CE marking) and contribute to intellectual property portfolios. - Support daily R&D lab operations and production re-formulations. **Required Skills:** - BSc (or higher) in a scientific discipline (preferred focus: Materials Science). - Analytical problem-solving and pragmatic decision-making. - Experience in scaling lab research to production. - Strong IT literacy (Excel). - Excellent communication, planning, and independent project execution. - Ability to interpret technical data and adapt to flexible work hours/travel. - Valid current driving license. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in scientific field (Materials Science preferred). - Desirable: Background in cementitious/synthetic resin chemistries or construction materials, project management experience in manufacturing.
