Job Description

Job Title: Data Processing Operator (3 Month FTC) Role Summary: Process and maintain accurate horse racing data within internal databases for publication and syndication. Support B2B product release, manage silks assets, train staff, and provide quality assurance for print and digital content. Expectations: - Deliver high‑quality data entry and database maintenance under tight deadlines. - Resolve data or delivery issues swiftly, communicating status to stakeholders. - Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work under pressure. Key Responsibilities: - Collate and input horse racing data into Sybase/GRP databases with high accuracy. - Process and update database entries, ensuring compliance with quality standards. - Create and manage silks images for international races. - Release B2B products on schedule; lead issue resolution and client communication. - Train new or inexperienced staff on data processes and tools. - Write or proofread content for Racing Post publications, ensuring error‑free output. - Contribute to other production and writing tasks as needed. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of horse racing, greyhounds, and sports data. - Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance mindset. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with database tools. - Skilled in communication, team collaboration, and time‑management. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. - Basic graphic handling for silks image creation. - Desire for publishing or design experience is advantageous (InDesign, Photoshop, Google Drive).
