Job Description
Job Title: Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Role Summary: Provide telephone triage assessments and evidence‑based CBT‑guided self‑help interventions for adults with mild to moderate anxiety and depression within primary care. Work independently and collaboratively to deliver individual and group therapy, maintain accurate clinical records, meet service targets, and engage in ongoing professional development. Expectations: - Deliver telephone‑based assessments and determine the appropriate intervention tier. - Provide brief CBT‑based guided self‑help for mild‑to‑moderate anxiety/depression. - Co‑run or assist in group workshops with other PWPs or High‑Intensity Therapists. - Apply additional expertise in long‑term conditions, low self‑esteem, or OCD as required. - Participate in regular supervision (weekly individual, 4–6 weekly line‑management, monthly service meetings). - Meet agreed service level targets and maintain high organisational and record‑keeping standards. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct telephone triage assessments to identify psychological difficulties and assess risk. - Deliver brief, evidence‑based CBT interventions to adults aged 18+. - Offer and facilitate group sessions for anxiety or depression. - Perform psychological assessments and interventions via interpreters where needed. - Work sensitively with diverse and BAME populations. - Maintain accurate clinical records and case management documentation. - Engage in continuous professional development and participate in CPD workshops (e.g., OCD, health anxiety, social anxiety).
