Job Description
**Job Title**: Human Resources Advisor **Role Summary** Provide expert HR advisory services across TfGM with a focus on employee relations. Deliver guidance to managers on wellbeing, grievance, disciplinary, and other complex HR matters while ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and internal policies. Participate in initiatives such as temporary contract management, policy development, and HR data reporting. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality, confidential HR advice to managers and staff. - Apply employment law and policy to complex cases within a unionised environment. - Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization. - Actively contribute to People team projects and continuous improvement of HR processes. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage employee relations casework: wellbeing concerns, grievances, disciplinary actions, and other sensitive HR matters. - Interpret current employment legislation and internal policies; advise managers on appropriate, fair actions. - Lead the administration of temporary contracts, fixed‑term and secondment arrangements. - Support policy development and job evaluation initiatives. - Compile and analyze HR data for reporting to senior leadership. - Collaborate with HR partners and other functional leaders to ensure consistent HR practice. - Uphold confidentiality and professional standards as per UK labour laws and TfGM guidelines. **Required Skills** - Minimum 3–5 years of HR advisory experience, including significant employee relations exposure. - In‑depth knowledge of UK employment law, statutory rights, and collective agreement frameworks. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities. - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to build rapport with employees, managers and senior leaders. - Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; data reporting skills. - Organizational and multi‑tasking skills; ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. - CIPD Level 5/6 or equivalent HR qualification strongly preferred. - Additional training or certification in employment law, conflict resolution or union relations is an asset. ---
