Job Description: **Job Title:** Lead DevOps/SRE Engineer **Role Summary:** Drive operational excellence and lead the infrastructure engineering team building a scalable, reliable PaaS platform. Oversee CI/CD pipelines, IaC, container orchestration, and multi‑architecture deployments to support beta and production workloads. Mentor engineers, set best practices, and collaborate closely with product, security, and backend teams to deliver high‑availability services. **Expectations:** - Deliver a robust, automated infrastructure that supports seamless workload orchestration across diverse architectures. - Lead the team through beta testing, ensuring performance, reliability, and security goals are met. - Shape long‑term platform strategy and operational roadmaps in partnership with leadership. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for beta and production releases. - Develop and manage IaC with Terraform for scalable, repeatable infrastructure. - Deploy and orchestrate containers using Docker and Kubernetes, including multi‑architecture support. - Monitor system performance, configure alerting, and lead incident response to maintain uptime. - Automate routine operational tasks to reduce manual effort. - Collaborate with security to enforce best practices and compliance. - Mentor and coach Ops team members, fostering autonomy and continuous improvement. - Work with backend developers to ensure seamless integration of services. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience as Lead DevOps or SRE Engineer in PaaS environments. - Strong command of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). - Expertise in IaC tools, primarily Terraform. - Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and familiarity with Go or Rust. - Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure services. - Deep understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, and release automation. - Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and incident‑management skills. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities across cross‑functional teams. - Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in high‑growth or start‑up settings. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are highly desirable.
