Job Description
Job title: Business Development Associate – Fixed Term Contract Role Summary: Drive commercial growth for exhibition and event solutions by prospecting new business, building client relationships, and collaborating across marketing, sales, and operations to exceed sales targets. Expactations: Deliver consistent new client acquisition, achieve quarterly sales goals, maintain high-quality client interactions, and provide timely market intelligence to the team. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct cold calling, emailing, and social media lead generation to identify potential clients. - Attend trade shows, network, and perform face‑to‑face outreach. - Identify key events and opportunities, gather client information, and develop tailored sales strategies. - Act as the first point of contact for prospects, cultivating lasting relationships through excellent communication. - Collaborate with marketing, internal sales, and operations to maximise opportunities and ensure smooth delivery of event builds. - Maintain accurate client data and activity in a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce). Required Skills: - Proven sales experience in exhibitions or event industry. - Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills. - Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. - Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office. - Detail‑oriented with a focus on customer service excellence. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred). - CRM certification (Salesforce or equivalent) is a plus.
