Job Description

**Job Title** Embedded Systems Engineer – Energy (H/F) **Role Summary** Design, develop, test, and support embedded software for smart metering and grid products. Lead specification, architecture, and validation activities, focusing on DLMS/COSEM, CPL, and other industry protocols. Contribute to innovation in smart grid and energy flexibility through algorithmic development and proof‑of‑concepts. **Expectations** * Demonstrate rigorous, methodical engineering and an innovative mindset. * Work autonomously while collaborating effectively in cross‑functional teams. * Produce clear, accurate technical documentation. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Contribute to functional and technical specifications for embedded solutions. 2. Analyze hardware/software requirements and design the embedded software architecture. 3. Develop C/C++ code for smart meter modules, DLMS/COSEM interfaces, and validation scripts (Perl). 4. Integrate software onto specific hardware targets using Keil. 5. Create and refine algorithms for Smart Grid, energy flexibility, and automated low‑voltage connection. 6. Provide Level‑2 technical support for software/hardware failures. 7. Write and update test specifications, conduct technical reviews, and audit test setups. 8. Develop and improve test tools; execute tests, analyze results, diagnose anomalies, and track defect resolution. **Required Skills** * Embedded C/C++ programming (Keil). * Scripting in Perl. * Deep knowledge of DLMS/COSEM, CPL (G1/G3), OCPP, 61850, 15118, EURIDIS 2. * Experience with mobile networks (2G/3G/4G) in meter contexts. * Intelligent metering and metrology domain knowledge. * Strong analytical, documentation, and teamwork abilities. **Required Education & Certifications** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Certifications in relevant protocols (e.g., DLMS/COSEM, IEC 61850) are a plus.
