Job Description
**Job Title** Human Resources Advisor (13‑month FTC – Maternity Cover) **Role Summary** Provide comprehensive HR advisory support across compliance, employee relations, performance, absences, and Workday administration. Deliver operational and strategic HR reporting, partner with managers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a cross‑functional team on a 13‑month fixed‑term contract. **Expectations** - Deliver timely, accurate HR reports and dashboards to inform decision‑making. - Ensure full compliance with employment law, industry regulations, and internal policies. - Act as a trusted advisor to line managers and staff on policy, disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence matters. - Facilitate investigations, meetings and hearings while safeguarding legal and procedural integrity. - Contribute to the HR Business Plan by supporting BAU and new improvement initiatives. - Lead Workday compliance, ad‑hoc and routine reporting, and absence management processes. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Prepare and present HR metrics, dashboards, and regular benchmarking reports. 2. Review, update and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legislation. 3. Advise managers on employee relations cases, disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and absence policies. 4. Support performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and formal hearings. 5. Manage investigation processes, ensuring lawful and consistent procedures. 6. Engage with stakeholders and business partners to align HR strategies with operational needs. 7. Oversee absence management in Workday – collect, validate and report on ad‑hoc, quarterly and annual absence data. 8. Lead Workday compliance reporting and maintain data integrity. 9. Support the delivery of the HR Business Plan initiatives, driving process improvements and best‐practice adoption. 10. Coach and mentor junior HR staff as needed. **Required Skills** - Demonstrated experience handling employee relations cases from outset to resolution. - Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with prioritisation skills. - Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, specifically Workday. - Several years of HR experience in an administrative or advisory capacity. - Capability to apply employment law and industry regulations consistently. - Detail‑oriented with analytical and reporting proficiency. **Required Education & Certifications** - CIPD Level 5 qualification (or actively pursuing). - Minimum of a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience in HR or related field. - Valid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
