Job Description

**Job Title** Information Technology Support Engineer **Role Summary** Provide first and second‑line IT support for a high‑performance manufacturing and racing environment. Deliver technical assistance during normal hours and extend coverage during race weekends and late‑night shifts. Focus on improving reliability and availability across enterprise applications, middleware, databases, and infrastructure. **Expectations** - Consistently meet or exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for operational and project tasks. - Demonstrate rapid problem resolution, escalation, and knowledge sharing within a fast‑paced, high‑visibility setting. - Maintain strong teamwork and a proactive, continuous‑improvement mindset. **Key Responsibilities** - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with enterprise applications, middleware, and infrastructure (VMware, DHCP, DNS, AD, DFS, GPO, M365, Entra AD, MDM). - Administer and optimise SQL databases, ensuring performance and reliability. - Monitor capacity, performance, and availability using tools such as SCOM. - Conduct security and vulnerability assessments, implementing protection against malware threats. - Manage LAN/WAN/WLAN networking components and related configurations. - Provide on‑call support during race weekends and extended hours. - Collaborate on projects aimed at enhancing IT reliability, documentation, and process improvements. **Required Skills** - Hands‑on experience in enterprise IT support (1st and 2nd line). - Proficiency with VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, GPO, M365, Entra AD, MDM. - SQL database administration and optimisation skills. - Experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM) and security tools. - Strong troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and prioritisation abilities. - Excellent communication, teamwork, and rapid learning in dynamic environments. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred). - Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional, or equivalent are desirable.
