Job title: Windows/CITRIX Systems Engineer
Role Summary:
Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of Windows and Citrix environments. Responsible for platform evolution, incident resolution, patch management, and integration of new services. Collaborate with application teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure high availability, security, and performance of Citrix and Active Directory infrastructures.
Expectations:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Master’s degree or engineering school graduate (Bac + 5) in information systems.
- Strong analytical skills, precision, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in French and technical English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the evolution projects of Citrix/TS, IBO/ALWIN, and Microsoft Active Directory platforms.
- Deliver N3 operational support (maintenance, updates, incident resolution) for all platforms.
- Process requests for software installation on Citrix (heavy clients, browsers, Java plug‑ins) within SLA using scripting (PowerShell, VBS).
- Diagnose and remediate platform issues; collaborate with vendors when necessary.
- Keep operating systems, Citrix/TS/AD, SQL Server, and related products current; manage release cycles and security patches (KBs, vendor OS patches).
- Test patch releases on validation environments and prepare production deployments.
- Plan and execute deployments across all platforms; maintain documentation (deployment guides, operational manuals, architecture diagrams).
- Deploy new Windows and Terminal Server instances; manage day‑to‑day operations.
- Support application engineering teams in migrating applications to the new directory; perform tests and validate releases.
- Conduct technology watch and propose performance and optimization solutions for Citrix and Active Directory.
- Deliver weekly status reports and participate in stakeholder meetings (SI Manager, Citrix/AD, ALWIN/IBO).
- Observe and enforce SOPs, change management, and SFR engineering standards.
Required Skills:
- Windows System Administration (OS configuration, web browsers, updates, troubleshooting).
- Network Administration (routing, DHCP, DNS, firewall, WSUS, RDS, LDAP, Kerberos, SSL/TLS certificates).
- Active Directory Administration (domain controller deployment, GPOs, OU management, AD security, troubleshooting).
- Citrix CVAD Administration (StoreFront, Delivery Controller, Studio, catalog management, image build, policy configuration, heavy client integration).
- PowerShell and VBS scripting for automation.
- Linux administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Citrix Netscaler management considered desirable.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor + 5 (Master or engineering degree) in information technology or related field.
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Citrix Certified Associate/Professional are advantageous.
