Job Description
**Job Title:** Project Manager - Engineering (Fixed Term Contract) **Role Summary:** Lead and coordinate capital engineering projects (£100k–£25m) in an FMCG production environment, delivering end-to-end solutions from concept to production-ready design. Contribute to strategic goals by optimizing supply chain performance and supporting organizational innovation. **Expectations:** - Deliver high-impact, cross-functional capital projects within budget, timeline, and quality/safety standards. - Influence strategic business functions (Operational Excellence, Quality Control, Health & Safety). - Provide leadership, mentor early-career engineers, and drive continuous improvement practices. - Apply commercial acumen to strategize and execute customer-focused, profitable outcomes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage capital projects (e.g., new product introductions, equipment installation) across supply chain functions. - Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Finance for project alignment. - Shape project governance, risk management, and stage/gate processes. - Lead stakeholder engagement, contract/tender processes, and vendor management. - Apply technical expertise in construction/civil projects within CDM-controlled environments. **Required Skills:** - Project management of capital engineering initiatives in FMCG. - Practical construction/civil project knowledge (CDM-compliant). - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project), AutoCAD, and SAP (preferred). - Commercial skills for strategy planning and execution. - Leadership, stakeholder management, and change-management capabilities. - Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities. - Flexibility to travel and adapt to dynamic project demands. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Degree in engineering or equivalent project management experience. - Fluency in English. - UK right to work. - UK driving license. - Familiarity with soft drinks production and stage/gate project management (preferred).
