A Enterprise Architect who has hand on experience in Azure DevOps is needed to lead a high-impact modernisation of the PS10bn+ investment platform for one of the UK's most influential asset owners. They are exciting organisation known for their strong commitment to ethical investment, sustainable development, and impactful social change across communities. This Enterprise Architect role is pivotal in a multi-year transformation journey, with direct visibility to the Endowment COO and CIO, with a mandate to design and implement future-proof, insight-led architecture across public, private, and real assets using Azure DevOps.

The Enterprise Architect will:
As the Enterprise Architect, you will have extensive experience with Azure DevOps and take ownership of the architecture workstream across a strategic investment platform transformation. The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for designing and socialising the target-state data and application architecture across all layers--from conceptual to physical. The Enterprise Architect role involves translating business needs into a robust architecture runway, creating reference models, and delivering vendor-agnostic technical designs. As an Enterprise Architect you will have close collaboration with Portfolio Managers, Investment Services, and third-party vendors which is key to defining scalable and integrated solutions. The Enterprise Architect will be hands on with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and lead the design and implementation of a modern data architecture to support advanced analytics, AI capabilities, and regulatory reporting.
The Enterprise Architect will evaluate platform vendors and design optimal system landscapes across asset classes including public, private, and real assets. This Enterprise Architect role requires shaping migration paths, addressing technical debt, and establishing architecture policies to ensure long-term maintainability. The Enterprise Architect will also guide the data control strategy--covering cataloguing, profiling, cleansing, migration, and archiving--while engaging with senior stakeholders to articulate design trade-offs and effectively communicate architectural decisions.
To be a good fit, the Enterprise Architect will have:
10+ years' experience designing enterprise-grade architectures in asset management, pensions, or institutional investment
Expertise integrating buyside front office platforms and building modern data lakehouse or data-mesh implementations at scale
Strong Microsoft Azure background with event-driven architecture design and implementation
Familiarity with GenAI/LLM pipelines, vector stores, RAG, and prompt engineering is a big bonus
Confident in stakeholder engagement and translating complexity into clarity for leadership
