Role Purpose
The IT Delivery Lead (ITDL) will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination and delivery of a complex tooling programme within the CDIO function. This includes overseeing the implementation of development and test tooling capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, and managing delivery across multiple product and platform teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of tooling solutions across development, test, and operational environments, ensuring timely and quality outcomes.
Act as the single point of accountability for IT delivery within the programme, coordinating across internal teams and third-party suppliers.
Translate business requirements into actionable delivery plans, working closely with Product Managers, Platform Leads, and Service Owners.
Manage dependencies, risks, and issues across the delivery lifecycle, escalating where necessary.
Ensure service transition and operational readiness of tooling solutions, including documentation and handover to support teams.
Maintain strong stakeholder engagement, including with BRMs, Portfolio Leads, and business sponsors.
Provide delivery assurance and reporting to senior leadership, including progress against milestones and benefits realisation.

Essential Skills and Experience
Proven experience delivering large-scale IT programmes, ideally within a government or regulated environment.
Strong understanding of DevOps tooling, test automation frameworks, and enterprise scheduling platforms (e.g. JobScheduler, TWS).
Experience managing delivery in a hybrid environment involving internal teams and external suppliers (e.g. Capgemini).
Familiarity with service transition, ITIL practices, and agile delivery methodologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Qualifications
ITIL v4 Foundation or Specialist certification (e.g. Create, Deliver, Support).Agile or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
Experience with virtualised platforms (e.g. FAST-P) and open-source tooling.
