Job Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Adherence and proper application of ASME Y14 standards related to tolerance, dimensioning, scale, 3rd angle projection, notes, associated lists and revision level.
Knowledge of Military Standards with respect to hardware and electrical connectors used in electromechanical packaging.
Knowledge of AWS welding symbols and proper application.
Ability to understand and efficiently carry out instructions.
Ability to perform sheet metal band calculations, stack-up and tolerance analysis.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Excellent PC skills, including familiarity with Windows environment, must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work with changing priorities and exacting deadlines.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
Ability to train others.
A strong analytical ability, good interpersonal and human relations skills.
Demonstrate good judgment in problem solving and decision-making.
Ability to implement new processes.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in CAD, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent.
Five (5) years of related experience in the military or aerospace field.
Two (2) years drafting and design experience with electro-mechanical packaging, machined parts, assemblies, weldments and sheet metal fabrication.
One (1) year of recent experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
