Roles and Responsibilities:

A vulnerability scanning and discovery team (SDT) member is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining vulnerability scanning tooling and operational processes to detect networks and identify vulnerabilities across.

* Serve as technical expert and demonstrate hands-on-keyboard experience with network discovery, vulnerability scanning tools, endpoint or network technologies, and/or container security tools.

* Enable and continuously mature security capabilities and services to effectively manage risk of the attack surface

* Evaluate and improve security capabilities, services, technologies, integrations, procedures, and processes continuously and offer options and recommendations to mature the vulnerability scanning and discovery program

* Learn current and new security technologies continuously and quickly apply knowledge to achieve success within the organization

* Participate in on-call rotation, respond to security incidents and technology incidents promptly, and lead efforts troubleshooting efforts and restoration activities to restore services and/or reduce risk to the organization

Must Have Technical Skills:

Level 4 - 4-6 years:

* Threat & Vulnerability Management

* Vulnerability scanning

* Cloud Security

* Container Security

* Network Vulnerability Management

* vulnerability analysis

* Ability to read a room, identify and leverage institutional knowledge, and woo stakeholders with opposing views

* Ability to see around the corner, hope for the best and plan for the worst, and exercise a healthy balance between security and accessibility

* Ability to define problems clearly and concisely, develop action plans with options, including pros and cons to those options, and offer your recommendation to address the problem directly

* Ability to align with leaderships expectations, offer appropriate level of challenge, when appropriate, and ensure your direct reports are running at the most optimal level of performance

* Ability to embrace hard work, lots of work, but know when to leave early and let the foot off the pedal
