Job Specifications

Lightcast is seeking data-driven individuals with specific language expertise to help expand our global product features. This person will play a key role in ensuring we deliver high-quality data to our clients.

Note: This is a full-time (40 hours/week) independent contractor position for 6 to 9 months. It is a BYOD (bring your own device) role requiring access to a personal laptop.

Major Responsibilities

Analyze and improve data quality of multilingual text classifiers.
Work with linguistics and engineering teams to build out new parsers across languages.
Translate various taxonomies such as Skills, Titles, and Occupations.
Competency in reading and writing Hebrew
Understanding of syntax and structural analysis of languages
Microsoft Excel experience (including vlookups, data cleanup, and functions)
Knowledge of query languages such as SQL
Advanced knowledge of rule writing using RegEx
Knowledge of text analysis or machine learning principles
Experience with data analysis using tools such as Excel or Python
High tolerance for repetitive and monotonous work.
Ability to follow complex instructions, navigate ambiguity and work independently.
Superb sense of urgency and time management.
Reliable laptop and internet access

Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP or similar (preferred)
Fluency in both English and Thai (spoken and written) is required.
