About the Role
As an AI Prompt & Automation Engineer, you'll be the technical force powering AI innovation across multiple startups. Depending on your path, venture studio operator or startup co-founder, you'll either support a portfolio of early-stage companies by shipping scalable automations, or co-found a new AI-native business from scratch.
In both cases, your job is to turn LLMs, APIs, and automation tools into real results, fast. This role blends deep prompt engineering, creative problem-solving, and high-speed technical execution.
What You'll Do
Venture Studio Track
Build and ship production-grade AI automations used across a portfolio of startups
Develop reusable prompt templates, automation libraries, and custom GPT workflows
Jump between companies to solve high-impact technical challenges quickly
Maintain and evolve an "AI Cookbook": systematizing solutions to recurring problems
Evaluate, test, and implement the latest AI tools and platforms to stay ahead
Startup Co-Founder Track
Partner with a business-oriented co-founder to launch a new AI-native company
Own all technical architecture, infrastructure, and implementation decisions
Build from zero to one, MVP, iterations, integrations, and full-stack deployment
Create defensibility through smart use of AI, automation, and infrastructure
Potentially earn significant equity and long-term ownership in a venture
What You Bring
Strong experience with LLMs (e.g. GPT-4, Claude, open-source models) and prompt engineering
Experience building and maintaining production-grade AI systems
Proficiency in Python, JS/TS, or similar, with the ability to build and deploy full workflows
Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, vector databases, and automation platforms (Zapier, LangChain, etc.)
Ability to work independently, switch contexts, and move quickly without much oversight
Clear technical communication and systematic thinking
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in startup environments, AI tooling, or no-code/low-code stack integrations
Prior experience launching AI-powered products or tools
Familiarity with frameworks like Lang Graph, Pinecone, LlamaIndex, or RAG architectures
Strong intuition for product and user experience
