Akkodis is partnered with one of Canada's leading Banks to recruit an Associate Director, Enterprise Architect to join their capital markets enterprise architecture team here in Toronto, ON. In this role, you'll help shape the technology strategy that powers trading, risk, and analytics across all asset classes.

This isn't your typical architecture role - you won't be siloed into one domain or team. You'll have broad exposure across front-to-back capital market systems and the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide initiatives while staying hands-on with modern technologies.

What You'll Do:

Define and promote enterprise-wide architecture standards (e.g., API strategies, platform patterns, integration practices).
Partner with trading, risk, and tech teams to review designs and ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
Represent Capital Markets in the banks major technology programs - advocate for what this fast-paced business really needs.
Act as a bridge between hands-on developers and senior leadership to drive smart, scalable, and secure solutions.

What You Bring:

Prior experience as an architect or lead in a bank, trading firm, or hedge fund
Deep expertise in software and enterprise / platform architecture, with strong programming fundamentals (Java, C++, Python, etc.).
Practical knowledge of data technologies, including distributed stores, caching, and messaging systems.
Experience with DevOps, cloud architectures (private or public), and observability platforms.
Hands-on experience driving cloud or other similar transformation initiatives
A broad understanding of capital markets, trading workflows, and asset classes.
Knowledge of capital market regulations and risk systems
The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, influence without authority, and build consensus across teams.
