About Navys
At Navys, we are building the most advanced funds lawyer, ever.
Navys is transforming the fund formation process by combining deep legal expertise with AI. This isn't another contract review or document summarizer: we are creating the Legal Operating System for funds.
Navys fuses internal legal precision and external regulatory insight into a living system that learns, reasons, and scales with fund professionals.
We are seeking an ambitious Front-End Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a unique chance to work alongside experienced private funds lawyers and innovators in a tech-forward environment. Navys is not just a better tool, it's a different model of how legal software should be built. You will be working on a product that completely reshapes the legal industry.
As a front-end engineer, you'll take ownership of the user-facing parts of our platform and the processes that power them. You'll be shaping how lawyers and fund professionals interact with our legal AI--creating responsive, intuitive, and robust UI's. You'll work closely with design, product, and backend engineering to deliver high-impact features in an evolving and ambitious technical environment.
What you'll own (first 12 months)
Building and refining core UI components in React/TypeScript.
Translate complex legal workflows into clean, user-friendly interfaces.
Build out a scalable front-end architecture alongside our backend and platform engineers.
Own performance, accessibility, and front-end reliability - ensuring smooth UX across browsers and devices.
Help establish internal front-end best practices, tooling, and testing infrastructure.
Collaborate with the design team to deliver pixel-perfect, production-ready interfaces.
Must-have technical foundations
3+ years of professional experience building and shipping modern front-end applications.
Deep proficiency with TypeScript and React.
Hands-on experience working with Azure-based infrastructure (e.g. Azure App Services, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Solid understanding of modern component-based architecture and state management.
Experience in a fast-paced startup environment--you've worn many hats and delivered under pressure.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Desire to work in a dynamic startup environment and a go-getter attitude.
Nice-to-have extras
Experience with front-end testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress or Playwright.
Familiarity with design systems (e.g. Storybook, Chakra UI, MUI).
Knowledge of B2B enterprise software or legal tech.
Understanding of secure front-end development practices.
An eye for UX and interaction design.
You'll thrive here if
You are talented, focused and aligned with our mission - we are building a complex product with innovative technology, accordingly we are looking for driven and dynamic candidates who can rise to the challenge.
You take ownership of problems and run with them - figuring things out with limited direction when needed.
You care about building exceptional product experiences for users and don't cut corners.
You are a strong communicator who gets their point across clearly, and isn't afraid to speak up when things need addressing.
You are independent, flexible and prepared to take on responsibility early on.
You are prepared to be accountable for and proud of the work you do and your contributions to the team - everyone has a role to play, none less important than the other.
