Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting and highly visible opportunity to be a key driver in our enterprise budgeting and financial reporting from the ground up. The Senior Financial Analyst will support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, monthly reporting and close processes, and other ad hoc analysis and project support.
. Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid role, reporting to the office 1-2x/week).
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Systems Management:
Serve as an assistant administrator for Workday Adaptive Planning
Enhance and maintain sheets, reports, and other key reporting infrastructure in Adaptive
Develop a thorough understanding of related finance data flows and processes and look for process improvement opportunities where possible
Assist in training and enablement for other finance team members on the use of Adaptive and Office Connect
Annual Budgeting and Quarterly Forecasting Support:
Support the development of the annual budget and preparation of related financial reporting
Ensure necessary headcount, global assumptions, and shared reporting are updated and maintained to support each planning cycle
Monthly Reporting and Close Support:
Support accounting & operations finance during the monthly close process with Adaptive data & KPI loads, variance analysis, and participation in monthly close meetings
Assist in the monthly financial review process through preparation of reporting and presentations for the executive team and board of directors
Identify and produce Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and partner with FP&A leadership to track and automated reporting where possible
Requirements:
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3-5 years of related work experience, preferably at least two in a corporate finance/FP&A role
Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or other equivalent enterprise financial planning tools is required
Basic SQL coding experience is preferred
Business understanding and analytical mindset to research root causes of financial outcomes
Financial modeling experience and understanding of the three financial statements
Strong computer skills, expert at Excel (using mostly keyboard shortcuts) and PowerPoint
Effective time management skills and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business
