Job Specifications

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EIB funded project called: Technical Assistance and Project Management for Port infrastructure development in Kiritimati Island and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

The overall objective of this assignment is to support the implementation and monitoring of all the technical, financial, economic, environmental and social feasibility studies in view of possibly constructing and operating a multi-purpose port and associate infrastructures to accommodate requirements for handling cargo from cargo, container and fishing vessels and accommodating cruise liners for tourism.

Duration: The intended start date is Q3 2025 and the period of implementation of the Assignment will be 24 (twenty-four) months from this date.

Key Expert: Team Leader (Cat. I)

Qualifications and skills:

University degree in civil engineering, Project Management or other relevant field.
Master degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Fluency and working command of English language.

General professional experience:

At least fifteen (15) years of experience in the field of infrastructure management, covering major project planning, general procurement procedures, settlement of contractual disputes, and reporting.

Specific professional experience:

Experience as Team Leader on at least two (2) projects related to ports infrastructures studies in relation to the preparation, monitoring and/or supervision of projects in accordance with IFI standards and common practices, including at least one (1) experience with EIB and/or EU funded projects;
Experience on at least two (2) similar projects in the delivery of technical advisory services on project infrastructure financing (PPP or PF);
Experience in projects related to ports and harbours infrastructure works in Non-EU member states would be an asset;
Relevant professional knowledge of the ACPs countries would be an asset;
Fully conversant with FIDIC contractual conditions.
