Role Description

This full-time hybrid role for a Business Development Manager is based in Toronto, ON, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, developing and implementing growth strategies, and collaborating with internal teams to drive business initiatives. Additional responsibilities include conducting market research and analysis, creating business proposals, and managing client accounts. With success, you will be expected to build a team to expand our capacity and deploy more capital.

Who You Are

You have 5+ years of experience in business development or sales development, including 3+ years in sales team management, strategy, sales operations, or revenue operations. A strong background in M&A deal sourcing or enterprise sales is highly desirable, along with a proven ability to analyze Business Development performance, optimize workflows, mentor teams, and drive capital deployment.

Qualifications

Business development, identifying new business opportunities, and client relationship management skills
Direct experience in enterprise sales, M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Investment Banking
Experience in developing growth strategies and implementing business initiatives
Market research and analysis skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Experience in the financial or investment industry is a plus
