Job Title: Backend Software Engineer (Contract)

Location: Remote (US-based)

Pay Rate: $90 per hour (W2 only)

Duration: 6-month contract (40 hours per week, potential extension)

Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to join a product team focused on growth and subscription-based services. This role offers the opportunity to work on new initiatives from the ground up, contributing directly to user-facing features, platform scalability, and cross-team product launches. The ideal candidate is an independent contributor with a proven ability to build services from zero to one, move quickly to meet tight deadlines, and deliver in a high-paced environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Haves)
2-4 years of professional backend software engineering experience
Hands-on expertise in Go (Golang) development
Experience building and scaling backend services in a cloud environment (AWS required)
Ability to execute independently and deliver results within short timelines
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
Familiarity with cryptocurrency, blockchain, or Web3 concepts
Background in growth engineering, A/B testing, and data-driven iteration
Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Temporal, Cadence)
Interest in subscription or payments-related product development
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Develop backend systems and services from the ground up using Go and AWS
Build new features to support subscription-based offerings, including sign-up flows, payment systems, promotions, and targeted benefits
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support large-scale product launches
Deliver high-quality, scalable services aligned with strict marketing and launch timelines
Take ownership of technical execution and contribute as an independent engineer
