Job Title: Front-End Software Engineer (Contract)

Location: Remote (US-based)

Pay Rate: $65-$70 per hour (W2 only)

Duration: 6-month contract (40 hours per week, potential extension)

Introduction

We are seeking a Front-End Software Engineer to join a team focused on building advanced tools that help brands, publishers, and professionals engage with online communities. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy designing scalable, user-facing features, collaborating across disciplines, and working in a fast-paced environment where innovation and quality must be balanced.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Haves)
4+ years of professional, hands-on software development experience
Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, ES6
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience
Experience with at least one modern front-end framework: React, Angular, Vue, Polymer, or LIT
Proficiency with CSS and building responsive, accessible applications
Strong understanding of HTTP APIs, REST, and related protocols
Experience working with distributed caching systems and large-scale data storage solutions
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills for collaborating across remote, cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
Familiarity with GraphQL or Thrift
Experience designing and implementing maintainable APIs
Exposure to Web Components
Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in ambiguity and build solutions from scratch
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Partner with product, design, and engineering peers to deliver high-impact features
Contribute to the full development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, experimentation, deployment, and iteration
Review code and design documents, providing constructive technical feedback
Maintain high quality while shipping quickly to support new initiatives
Help define best practices, mentor junior engineers, and improve developer workflows
