Senior Electrical Engineer

Position: Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer

Location: Paris - Hybrid (2 days/week home office possible after 3 months)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer with strong Oil & Gas project expertise to lead the electrical discipline on a major offshore engineering project.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing all electrical deliverables, supervising junior engineers, coordinating with other disciplines, and acting as the main point of contact for the client on electrical matters. You will ensure compliance with international standards and provide high-quality technical input throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Act as discipline lead for the electrical scope of the project
Prepare and review key deliverables including design basis, philosophies, specifications, datasheets, requisitions, and calculation notes
Lead project planning and monitor progress for the electrical discipline
Supervise and coordinate the work of junior engineers and designers
Conduct electrical system studies using ETAP (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, etc.)
Prepare and review equipment sizing and power balance calculations
Organize and participate in client and internal meetings
Ensure full compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations

Qualifications

MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 10 years' experience as a Senior or Lead Electrical Engineer on Oil & Gas projects (preferably offshore)
Strong knowledge of IEC standards, ATEX & IECEx requirements, and industry regulations
Proficiency in ETAP Power System Analysis software
Fluent in English and French required
Proven ability to supervise teams and deliver complex projects
