We're seeking an experienced, empathetic, and strategic HR Business Partner to support client groups in our Corporate teams. You'll work closely with senior leaders to shape a high-performing, values-driven organization and help navigate growth, change, and complexity with clarity and care. This role is ideal for someone who operates independently, thinks critically, and builds deep trust across all levels of the business.
You'll be responsible for delivering high-impact People support across our Corporate functions - solving strategic and tactical challenges, implementing scalable programs, and ensuring alignment with Glossier's business goals and mission. With a clear, discerning perspective, courageous communication, and genuine curiosity, you'll deliver inclusive, values-aligned solutions that drive results and support our evolving business. You will work onsite in our New York City Headquarters at least 3 days per week, building authentic relationships and fostering trust as a reliable in-office presence. This role reports to the VP of People.
Six Month Expectations
Partner with functional leaders to develop and execute tailored People strategies aligned with each client group's goals and with Glossier's business priorities.
Provide hands-on and strategic HR guidance throughout the full employee lifecycle, including org design, performance management, employee relations, change management, talent planning, and other evolving People needs.
Apply sound judgment to assess the HR implications of business plans, anticipate needs, and design organizational solutions.
Develop a deep understanding of the business to provide proactive, forward-thinking partnership to functional leaders.
Drive consistency and excellence throughout all phases of company-wide People programs, from planning and design through rollout, adoption, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on headcount planning and hiring strategies that attract and retain top talent who reflect and strengthen our values-driven culture.
Deliver intentional, pragmatic solutions that increase team effectiveness and leadership impact.
Foster a values-driven, inclusive, and engaged culture in partnership with functional leaders, and the broader People team.
Interpret and guide the application of company policies with expertise and discernment, ensuring consistency, fairness, and alignment with our evolving business needs.
Communicate with clarity and influence in written, verbal, and visual formats to build trust, drive alignment, and support decision-making.
Champion and embed our values in everyday People practices, fostering behaviors that reinforce a collaborative and connected culture.
Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Legal, Finance, and People Operations to ensure alignment, compliance, and seamless execution of People initiatives and decisions.
Twelve+ Month Expectations
Take full ownership of identifying and addressing people challenges within assigned client groups before they surface, clearing blockers, mitigating risks, and ensuring smooth team dynamics and execution.
Coach and develop leaders to build high-performing, resilient, and inclusive teams.
Design and lead People initiatives that are tailored to the needs of your assigned teams, reinforcing Glossier's values and business priorities.
Represent employee and team needs with executive leadership and within the People team, applying strategic awareness to advocate, escalate, or influence as needed.
Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior functional leaders, as well as to peers within the People team.
Leverage people analytics and reporting to identify trends, surface insights, propose solutions, and inform decision-making throughout the employee lifecycle.
Support and influence employee engagement efforts, including survey design, action planning, and follow-through.
Lead performance and talent calibrations for your client groups, and partner with People Operations on compensation and growth planning to support fair and consistent outcomes across performance, compensation, and development.
Drive change management efforts during periods of organizational transition, partnering closely with leaders to ensure clear communication, employee support, and continuity.
