Location: Jersey City, NJ or New York, NY (Hybrid - 3-4 days onsite)

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team in support of a critical internal communication platform used by over 50,000 global users. This role requires strong hands-on coding ability, production support expertise, and the ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.

The successful candidate will be the primary engineer working onsite during Eastern Time Zone hours and must be capable of independently managing production incidents, mentoring junior developers, and delivering high-quality code enhancements.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain application features using Angular and Java (Spring Boot)
Handle production support issues during EST business hours
Review code and mentor offshore junior developers (India/UK teams)
Collaborate with product owners, design leads, stakeholders, and management to deliver enhancements
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards
Contribute to architecture improvements and new feature development
Maintain and enhance automated testing frameworks in Java
Manage application deployment processes using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups at 8:00am EST

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with:
Angular (v17 preferred; v13+ acceptable)
Java 17 and Spring Boot 3
REST APIs (GraphQL a plus)
CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven)
3-4+ years of continuous development experience in one environment
Ability to independently resolve production issues and support high-availability systems
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience mentoring other developers

Preferred Skills

Experience with Oracle databases (basic integration required; SQL Server or other DBs acceptable)
Exposure to cloud databases (Snowflake, etc.)
Awareness of AI agent development and automation concepts
Background in high-availability enterprise applications (financial services industry experience is a plus, not required)

Work Environment

Hybrid schedule: 3-4 days onsite in Jersey City, NJ or New York, NY
Early morning Agile ceremonies (8:00am EST) with offshore teams
Fast-paced, global environment with high visibility and accountability
