Our client is a rapidly expanding technology company with a platform used by millions worldwide. They're passionate about doing things differently and are building innovative products that people genuinely enjoy using.

They're looking for a Test Engineer to join their agile development squads. You'll play a key role throughout the development lifecycle, from refining specifications, ensuring software is built with testability in mind, through to implementing functionality backed by automated testing.

You must be based in the UK for this role, please note this role does not provide visa sponsorship.

Some of the responsibilities:

Participate in backlog grooming and refinement to influence quality and testability
Develop and execute testing strategies for new functionality
Advocate the use of BDD best practices where appropriate
Support developers in delivering highly testable software
Raise, investigate and document problems and known errors
Enhance testing tools, processes and platforms with reusability in mind
Review and contribute to technical documentation
Communicate testing status and issues to a range of stakeholders

Some of the requirements:

Experience working with modern web testing frameworks (e.g. Cypress)
Hands-on experience with BDD
Familiarity testing and debugging web applications on mobile
Experience with React, and knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g. Git)
Knowledge of REST, GraphQL, asynchronous messaging, and JSON
Minimum of 3 years' automation experience

Desired, but not essential:

Experience with scalable cloud applications and distributed architecture
Understanding of accessibility standards and tools
API testing, security testing and load testing experience
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with NoSQL systems such as MongoDB
Appreciation of DevOps principles
