Java Spark Developer

Mississauga ON (Hybrid/ 3 days office & 2 days work from home)

Nature of Contract - Contract opportunity

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Spark Developer to design, build, and optimize our large-scale data processing applications. You will play a key role in developing robust, high-performance solutions that handle complex data workflows.

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
Proven, hands-on experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
Strong expertise with the Spring framework (Core, Boot) and Spring Integration.
Solid experience with the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, YARN, etc.).
Experience with HBase is a strong requirement.
Experience building and maintaining high-volume data pipelines and ETL processes.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently under pressure and manage changing priorities

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy distributed data processing applications using Java, Spark, and the Hadoop ecosystem.
Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code using the Spring framework (Spring, Spring Integration).
Develop and optimize Spark jobs for large-scale data transformation and analysis.
Integrate data from various sources and ensure the stability and performance of data pipelines.
Collaborate with data engineers and architects to implement effective data solutions.
