QC Associate Position - Leading Biotech

I'm currently partnering with a leading pharmaceutical organisation that is expanding its Quality Control team in Harwell. They are looking for an experienced QC Stability & Analytical Chemist to support GMP-compliant stability and analytical testing as part of their growing operations.

The role

This position will focus on stability programme management and analytical chemistry, with exposure to advanced instrumentation and regulatory submissions. It's a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on lab work while also contributing to compliance, quality systems, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

Execute analytical chemistry and stability testing (HPLC, UPLC, GC, KF, UV, DLS)
Support raw material, in-process, and drug substance testing
Manage stability programmes: sample pulls, data trending, reporting, and documentation
Contribute to regulatory submissions (FDA, EMA, ICH)
Ensure GMP/GxP compliance and data integrity
Act as SME during audits and inspections
Mentor junior staff and support lab operations

What we're looking for

Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
5-7 years' QC lab experience within pharma/biotech
Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory standards
Hands-on experience with modern analytical instruments
Skilled in electronic documentation and regulatory compliance
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Fluent English (spoken and written)
