AI Prototyping Engineer -- Data Visualization (LLMs)

This role will suit an Individual Contributor AI prototyper (hands-on builder) who turns prompts + data - lovable, testable dashboards in 48-72 hours. Uses Hugging Face + Streamlit/Gradio + Plotly/Vega-Lite + FastAPI with Pandas/Polars + DuckDB to validate value, UX, and feasibility before engineering scales. Obsessed with time-to-first-insight (TTFI), p95 latency, and clear visual grammar.

Core Capabilities & Experience Needed:
LLM prototyping: Modern LLM stack, prompt design, light retrieval.
Proto UI: Fast interactive apps suitable for stakeholder demos.
Data viz craft: Strong visual grammar; narrative + charts that drive decisions.
Product discovery: Hypothesis-experiment-evidence; ruthless scoping.
Design-to-code: Translate Figma flows into working demos.
Operational pragmatism: Governance-lite, privacy-aware, secure by default.
LLM: Hugging Face / equivalent
Proto UI: Streamlit or Gradio; minimal FastAPI
Viz: Plotly or Vega-Lite/Altair (D3 where needed)
Data: Pandas/Polars + DuckDB (local), PyArrow
Ops: Git, Docker, simple CI, lightweight logging

Core Responsibilities
Rapid prototyping: Build NL-auto-dashboard demos (2-3 charts + concise narrative + next-best questions).
Visual storytelling: Apply clear chart choices, annotations, accessibility; "adoption on first contact."
Lightweight data & glue: Local data wrangling and minimal APIs to keep velocity high.
Instrumentation: Log TTFI, p95, key events (e.g., insight_saved) for testable prototypes.
Partnering: Work with PM/Design/DS/FE to align hypotheses, cut scope, and land patterns into BAU.
