Help Supersonic Software Take Flight

At Boom, small, embedded teams build outsized impact. You'll join the crew connecting sensors, streaming telemetry, and turning raw data into mission critical analyses powering the Symphony engine program.

As a Data Scientist at Boom, you will be working with the team developing tools and methods that power data acquisition for Boom's engine and aircraft development program. You'll dive into real-time data visualization, data wrangling, post-test data analysis and even get hands on with hardware. This is a unique opportunity to blend data science with real-world aerospace engineering--building systems that bring supersonic flight closer to reality.

If you're hungry to learn at the intersection of statistics, software, and engineering--and want to watch your code influence go/no-go calls--this role is for you.

Role Overview

Embed directly with test engineers to develop purpose built software tools to streamline data collection and analyses

Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ambition, complemented by effective collaboration skills in a team setting
Excels in a high-energy, independent, and challenging work environment

What Will Set You Apart

Experience with systems programming languages, particularly Rust or Go
Past experience working with data extracted from REST endpoints, or other web based data access technologies
Collaborative track record in a diverse technical domains - from aerospace, biological science, engineering, or medicine, you've teamed up with experts to get the answers to deep technical questions

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (graduating in Spring 2026)
