Job Specifications

The Department of Surgery is seeking a Research Data Analyst to assist in the analytic datasets incorporating data from multiple sources, especially healthcare claims data, EHR data, and public health datasets, to develop and implement study designs while maintaining data quality assurance procedures to ensure validity and reliability of study results. The Research Data Analyst is critical to executing our nationally funded healthcare research. The Research Data Analyst will work primarily on our clinical, public health, and policy research to analyze the peri-operative and long-term risks following nephrectomy in live kidney donors The Research Data Analyst will work closely with other research team members to support the conduct of the research. This individual will help manage, prepare, analyze, interpret, and report analyzed data.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Collect data and generate reports and models.
Run models, analyze model results, and prepare reports on the analysis.
Conduct analyses in support of the assigned research project or study.
Conduct statistical analyses utilizing standard and statistical software packages.
Design and prepare tables to illustrate analytic findings.
Manage or contribute to entry of data in the assigned database.
May engage in other research related responsibilities.
Perform other related duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related discipline
Three years related experience

Starting Salary Range: $48,000 - $84,100 Annually ($50,000 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University's salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications. Education and Experience Equivalency

Please refer to the job description above to see which forms of equivalency are permitted for this position. If permitted, equivalencies will follow these guidelines: JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
